Nylon Powder

Nylon is a thermoplastic powder that comes in several “grades,” the most popular being Nylon 11. Normally this material is applied over a liquid primer for better adhesion. It can be applied using both fluidized bed and spray techniques, although you must select the proper material for the type of application material used (i.e. spray grade or fluid bed grade). If this material is sprayed using a Corona gun, it will probably work best with a positive polarity gun. These are different than the most common negative polarity guns sold to 98% of the applicators of general powder coatings.
